Firstly, Email your request and declare your intention to get married or indicate the type of ceremony you would like. I will reply with full instructions about how to proceed. More information on naming ceremonies may be found here.

Also - If getting married, download and print this form NOIM, called the Notice of Intended Marriage; fill in all relevant spaces and bring it to me at our first meeting, or post it with certified copies of the necessary documents to me. Also if needed a Statutory Declaration can be found here - If you are overseas, information on getting married in Australia can be found here.

This Notice of Intended Marriage must be submitted to your celebrant at least one month before the wedding can take place. It is valid for 18 months. Download my Steps to Marriage Checklist which contains all the information to assist you in preparing for the big day.

It is best to get the ball rolling now as I take bookings many months in advance (see my calendar below). You must be sure you have all of the necessary requirements in place in time. For example you will need original birth certificates, and possibly overseas passports. Some documents can take some time to get if you haven't got them already. I will inform you of any other requirements when we correspond.

Calendar

The calendar below may assist you with the planning of your ceremony. It will be updated with public holidays and other important dates, you can click on these dates for more information. View larger Calendar.

Photography & Video

It is best to plan early so that the period near to your wedding is relaxing. Please consider photography carefully as it is usually a one time moment . After the event, the pictures will be your precious memories. See the resources and links pages for some ideas.

Venues for your ceremony

Choosing your venue can be a daunting task, for a start where do you want to have it, in your hometown, out of town? A function room in a hotel, a marquee, a restaurant, a resort, on Sydney harbour or maybe water views? Why get married in the registry office when the wedding ceremony can be anywhere you wish!

Here are a few tips and some locations to consider when narrowing down your wedding venue. Download

Always remember the safest thing anyone can do is check twice do it once!
